Tripod Vessels

Hand-pinched vessels in the shape of a circle and worked to sizes that can be contained in the palm of my hand. The forms and miniature sizes are inspired by ancient Greek 'three-legged' vessels used for offerings or other ritual procedures.

 

The vessels sit on three feet of different styles, reminding of miniature furniture that showcase a character of their own!

The raw nature of clay along with traces of my fingerprints contrast the elegant way the vessels sit above the ground.​
